Sarah Johnson Photography
Project:
Brand identity design
Sarah got in touch with me as although she did have a logo and colour palette already set up, she felt like she needed a refresh to her visuals so she could feel more connected to the brand and have more confidence showing off her brand.
Sarah completed my brand questionnaire and sent me her Pinterest bard which was full of gorgeous images and inspiration. After reviewing her mood board, I could see two distinct styles so I collated all the inspiration and added in a few of my own ideas and presented her with two style directions.
The first mood board was dreamy, relaxed and magical with pastel colours, serif fonts and calligraphy fonts and a general light and airy feel. The second mood board was warm, peaceful and bohemian - with a retro yet spiritual vibe. Sarah loved them both but opted for for the first option, I then moved on to creating the logo concepts.
After presenting 3 logo concepts, Sarah picked her favourite and I made amendments until she was happy. Her final brand colour palette was more vibrant than she initially intended, but she was so happy with the final brand identity!

As a personal branding photographer, knowing how important everything visuals are, I feared I would be Alex’s worst client!
Although I did have a tweak of the initial colours ever so slightly, this was only because this process made me lean into my own inner confidence thanks to Alex’s process. If you’re going to rebrand you need to go all in and trust the experts. I trusted everything Alex brought to the table and everything was presented to me in such a professional way.
The planning process, mood boards and brainstorming is almost identical to how I work with my photography clients so this was just perfect for my brain. It was also a reminder how photography and branding goes hand in hand and these are non essentials for every business.
Thanks so much Alex, you’re a master of your craft and professional throughout.
