Online Children's Store

When Sophie enquired about logo and branding for her new online children's store I was so excited to be part of such a cool brief! Sophie had loads of ideas and was unsure what colour palette to go for and what direction to take her brand. I asked her to create a Pinterest board and keep adding anything that inspired her and I told her not to hold back, no matter how random the pins were!

When she shared her board with me, I could see there was huge mix of different styles - so I collated all the images and created three different mood boards for her. One was muted and classy, the second was fun, playful and colourful and the third was Skandi and minimal. They were all beautiful, but she decided to go with the fun and colourful mood board.

I then went away and came up with about six different logo options and presented them to her. She straight away loved one so I tweaked that and then moved onto the other branding elements such as submark, favicon, colours and fonts. We tried a few different colour palettes but finally decided on an off white colour called 'Linen' and a very dark green/blue called 'Jungle Green'. We then added a few bright pops of colour to the palette which are intended to be used sparingly - just to add a touch of playfulness without overpowering the brand.

Words from D+D...

"Alex is a super talented creative with a natural eye for beautiful yet very cool styles. She has the ability to break down ideas, organise & prioritise them and then put them to the test within a mock-up business environment.

Alex will take you along a journey of finding out who are you and what you stand for as a business. With that in mind, she will create something that not only represents your business, but will also tell a story through your logo.

Anyone who is wanting a new logo or rebranding, you want Alex on your team! It’s been my most favourite part of starting a new business! We love our logo and with the backing of being able to send our brand guidelines to potential companies - Alex took us to the next level."
